FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who is eligible to be a Jr. Cyclone Club member? All children 12th grade and younger.
What are the benefits for a Jr. Cyclone Club member? For the $49 membership fee, the member will receive free admission to all home athletics events*, an official club t-shirt, membership card and lanyard. Also, members receive admission to exclusive club-only events including the pre-game field access to welcome the football team, Football Kick-off BBQ, exclusive meet & greets, and more! *Includes all home football games. Also includes all home Iowa State sporting events with the exception of only select men's basketball games (yet to be determined). Excludes all post-season events for all sports.
When do we receive the packets with the shirt, membership card, and other materials? The first batch of membership packets will be sent out in late July/early August (please allow two weeks for shipping). From then on, packets are mailed out every week. However, packets are NOT mailed the week of any home football game (packets are to be picked up at Cyclone Experience on game day).
What is Cyclone Experience? Cyclone Experience is the official area where we have our inflatable games, putt-putt golf, face painting and more, all free! Located on the NE corner outside Jack Trice Stadium (between parking lots 85E and S8), we are open three hours before kick-off at every home game (weather pending) and close 30 minutes prior to kick-off.
How do Jr. Cyclone Club members get into events? Members MUST have their membership card for admission to Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum. Parents/guardians must purchase a game ticket to gain admission into these venues as well.
Where do Jr. Cyclone Club members sit at the events? And can parents/guardians sit there as well? Football games - hillside seating, Men's Basketball - TBD, Women's Basketball - Sections 121-123, Gymnastics/Soccer/Volleyball & Wrestling - General admission
What happens if my Jr. Cyclone Club member loses their card? Depending on the age of the member, we highly encourage parents to keep a close eye on the membership card by placing them in their wallets or purses for safe- keeping. We understand that losing the membership card may happen and cards are lost even when on the lanyards; however, the cards are not replaceable. Please note there will be a charge of $49 to purchase a new membership card.
Why do I have to give my email address when registering? All Jr. Cyclone Club announcements and updates are sent via email. The provided email address will only be used for Jr. Cyclone Club related emails. Upon your written request, we can remove or change your email address.
It's getting closer to the next game and I haven't received my membership packet, how does my member get into the
event?
Again, packets will not be mailed the week of a home game; therefore, parents must stop by Cyclone Experience on game day to pick up their packet - especially the membership card - prior to entering Jack Trice Stadium. For events at Hilton Coliseum, parents need to bring a proof of purchase to the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office to be granted a temporary ticket. If you have questions prior to game day, contact the Athletics Marketing Department by phone at (515-294-3558) or via email (bhandlos@iastate.edu).
The t-shirts ran small last year -- what will they be like this year so I know the best size to order (and do they shrink)? The brand of the shirt depends on the company used to produce the shirts, but plan on the shirts running small. They will shrink when washed as most of the shirts are 100% cotton. Also, shirts can only be exchanged for a different size as long as they have not been washed.
Do Jr. Cyclone Club members have to wear their shirts to the events? It is not mandatory for members to wear their t-shirts to events, but highly encouraged. However, please remember that it's the membership card that gains a member access to Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum, not the shirt.
I forgot my username and password that I created to renew my childs membership, now what? You may email Beth Handlos (bhandlos@iastate.edu) to reset your username & password. Reminder... keep your new username and password somewhere safe for easy access in the future.
I need to update my contact information (mailing address, email, phone, etc.) how can I do that? Simply click the "Renew My Membership" button at the top of the page. Enter your username & password. On the left-hand side of the page, click "Update Profile".
