The 2013 Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship will consist of 54 holes, with 18 holes played daily in a three-day tournament from April 19-21. Five players represent each school with the lowest four scores from each round counting toward the team total. USGA rules and regulations shall govern play at all times. Coaches and players must also abide by the rules at all times.

This year’s tournament will be conducted at The Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa for the second time (2001). The Harvester is considered one of the finest layouts in the Midwest, annually ranking as the best course in Iowa. In 2012, The Harvester was ranked as the 39th-best public golf course in the nation according to Golf Digest. The Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship will be set-up as a par-72, 6,055-yard layout.

The 2012 Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship runner-up medalists Hayley Davis (Baylor) and Chirapat Jao-Javanil (Oklahoma) both return to the 2013 field. Jao-Javanil, who is the defending NCAA individual national champion, helped the Sooners win last year’s team title.

Course Layout

Where cows once grazed, The Harvester site has the elements of a dramatic championship course: visually diverse beauty, varied terrain and natural water features - all in a charming setting where a course was sculpted into the land, not built upon it.

If you love the game of golf, The Harvester satisfies. Every time you play, the course reveals itself in new and unexpected ways. From wide fairways to large, fast greens and generous tee times to distraction-free surroundings, you’ll finish your round knowing that you’ve experienced the game in its purest form.
