South Dakota Doubleheader Pushed Back to April 22

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State softball team's doubleheader against South Dakota that was originally scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. has been postponed, the Athletics Department announced Wednesday. The games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Cyclone Sports Complex.

According to the forecasted weather for tomorrow, ther is an over 70 percent chance of rain in the Ames area. The doubleheader was originally scheduled for yesterday, March 25, but was pushed back due to yesterday's snow and below freezing temperatures.

Iowa State will return to the diamond on Friday to start the Big 12 season with a three-game series against No. 16 Oklahoma. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the game will be televised live on Cyclones.TV Powered by Mediacom.
