2009 Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year

Saw action in 11 games ... made 96 tackles and forced three fumbles, recovering one ... had one interception as a senior and six in his career ... also returned 16 kickoffs averaging 23.2 yards per return ... set a career-high with 17 tackles at Oklahoma and caused a Sooner fumble ... made game-high 13 tackles against Nebraska ... led the team with 10 tackles against Utah while forcing a fumble and grabbing an interception that led to Iowa State scores ... finished with eight tackles and broke up four passes in ISU win at Texas ... in his first action of the season, made nine tackles at Iowa.
