AMES, Iowa - Sophomore Shane Power announced today he has left the Iowa State men's basketball team and has elected to transfer.

Eustachy Statement:
"We want players who want to be in our program. This is part of our transition period for this team. We wish Shane the best of luck in all of his future endeavors."

Power Statement:
"I want to thank Coach Eustachy for the two years I had at Iowa State. I felt it was in my best interest to leave ISU and pursue other opportunities. I want to thank my teammates and wish them luck and thank the coaching staff for all of their support."

A native of Crown Point, Ind., Power was the only Cyclone to start all 31 games last season, averaging 13.6 ppg and 4.5 rpg. Power, who was a honorable mention all-Big 12 pick by the league's coaches, led ISU in steals (37) and was second on the team in assists with 73. Power also led the team in minutes played, averaging 37.5 mpg.
