AMES, Iowa – Iowa State tennis head coach Armando Espinosa announced the addition of transfer Alejandra Galvis, a two-time All-American at Lindsey Wilson College.

“Alejandra is an accomplished tennis player that will help our team,” Espinosa said. “She has been successful at the college level and we look forward to having her on our team.”

Galvis, who will be a junior in the fall, went 22-9 overall at Lindsey Wilson College, an NAIA program. She was ranked 14th nationally in singles play at the end of the 2013-14 regular season. Lindsey Wilson advanced to the semifinals of the national tournament. Galvis also earned Academic All-District honors.

The Cucuta, Columbia, native, has represented Colombia in the South American Championship three times.
