Chris Jorgensen has served the Iowa State Athletics Department as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, Planning and Management since 2011, and has been on staff since 2007.

He is a member of the department’s senior-level administrative team and has oversight responsibilities for all of the department’s construction and capital projects as well as the facilities & grounds, event management and concessions units.

Jorgensen has served as Athletics’ project manager for over $100 million of construction projects during his tenure including the Bergstrom Football Complex, the Cyclone Sports Complex, the north end zone videoboard, the Golf Performance Center, and the Sukup Basketball Complex.  

Jorgensen is currently serving as the department’s point person for the $60 million south end zone project and campus beautification project at Jack Trice Stadium.

Prior to joining the Iowa State Athletics staff, Jorgensen worked at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, in Des Moines from 1995-2007.

He is a 1995 graduate of Simpson College with a degree in accounting. Jorgensen played football for the Storm. Over a 10-year period, Jorgensen was an assistant football coach for three different central Iowa high schools (most recently, Des Moines East, 2006-08).

Chris and his, wife, Sara, have two daughters (Sydney and Kendall).
