Golfers in Eighth Place at Mercedes-Benz
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 14 Iowa State women's golf team shot a second-round 298 this afternoon to sit in eighth place (596) with one round to go at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate. Penn State leads the team race at 580.
Sasikarn On-iam and Punpaka Phuntumabamrung are currently in a tie for 21st at 148. Phuntumabamrung shot a 74 today and On-iam fired a 75. Cajsa Persson shot a Cyclone-low 72 to move into a tie for 31st at 149.
Furman's Laura Wearn leads the medalist race at 138.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the final 18 holes.
