HOUSTON, Texas - Iowa State's Meghan Cassens and Ksenia Pronina advanced to the finals of their bracket in a rain shortened day at the Cougar Fall Draw Saturday.

Cassens advanced with a straight-set win over Alicia Porte of Lamar, 7-6 (6), 6-1. In the finals, Cassens will be matched against Emma Isberg of Denver.

Pronina advances to her finals due to a withdrawal from her opponent. The sophomore will face Emily Flickinger from Auburn.

Simona Cacciuttolo was defeated in a competitive match versus Jessica Kahts. Kahts, of Texas State, won in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 10-4. Cacciuttolo will play in the consolation final against Sophia Bergner of Denver.

Claudia Ortiz's match was postponed due to inclement weather.
