Cyclones Wrap Up Fall Season At Western Michigan
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Iowa State tennis team have played for the final time this fall season. The Western Michigan Super Challenge wrapped up with play in both singles and doubles today.
Jenna Langhorst took the only win on the day for the Cyclones. Langhorst defeated Katie Brozovich of Bowling Green in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
Emma Waites and Claudia Ortiz each had a chance to finish in third in their respective brackets. Waites was defeated by Aleeza Kanner of Marquette, 6-2, 6-0. Ortiz started off sluggish against Gabrielle Rubenstein of Indiana losing set one 6-0. Ortiz played a better second set but ended up falling, 6-0, 6-3.
The Cyclone tennis team will resume their season at the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational in Ft. Myers, Fla. The Invitational will mark the final tournament of the year for the team. Dual matches will follow.
