AMES, Iowa -Iowa State (9-3, 0-0) returns home for the first time since Dec. 9 by playing host to Yale (4-9, 0-0) on New Year's Day. Iowa State and Yale have never met before, but the Cyclones are 4-1 all-time vs. Ivy League schools.

-Iowa State (9-3, 0-0) returns home for the first time since Dec. 9 by playing host to Yale (4-9, 0-0) on New Year's Day.
-Iowa State and Yale have never met before, but the Cyclones are 4-1 all-time vs. Ivy League schools. Yale's Jesse Pritchard is an Ames native and was a member of the 2009 Ames Class 4A state championship team along with Bubu Palo, Doug McDermott and Harrison Barnes.
-Iowa State won its first road game of the year in its last outing on Dec. 19, defeating UMKC, 76-61 in Kansas City. Tyrus McGee scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half behind a career-high-tying six 3-pointers.
-Iowa State has won 14-straight games at home, tying for the 13th-best active homecourt winning streak in the nation. A victory over Yale would tie for the fourth-best homecourt winning streak in school history at 15 games.
-Iowa State is one of the nation's best scoring teams, ranking sixth nationally in points per game at 82.2. Iowa State is one of only two teams in the nation to score 70 points or more in every game this season (UNC-Greensboro).
-Only three other Iowa State teams in school history have started a season reaching the 70-point mark in its first 12 games.
-Iowa State tallied double digits in 3-pointers for the sixth time this season vs. UMKC with 11. ISU leads the Big 12 and is sixth nationally in 3-pointers per game (9.3).
-Iowa State has outrebounded 11 of 12 opponents this season at a +11.5 margin, ranking first in the Big 12 and fifth nationally in rebounding margin.
-Melvin Ejim leads the Big 12 and ranks 53rd nationally in rebounding at 8.9 rpg.
-Tyrus McGee ranks No. 2 on ISU's career 3-point pct. chart at 42.5 pct. (85-200 3FG).
