Iowa State Travels to No. 13 Kansas State

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (16-6, 6-3) travels to No. 13 Kansas State (18-4, 7-2) on Saturday. KSU is tied for first in the Big 12 standings and ISU is tied for third.

Cyclone Notebook
-Iowa State (16-6, 6-3) travels to No. 13 Kansas State (18-4, 7-2) on Saturday. KSU is tied for first in the Big 12 standings and ISU is tied for third.

-Iowa State has won three-straight games vs. the Wildcats for the first time since 2000-01 when ISU won four-straight games. ISU has won two of the last three meetings in Manhattan.

-The Cyclones begin Big 12 play at 6-3 or better for the second year in a row and for just the fifth time since the Big 12 was formed in 1997 (1997, 2000, 2001, 2012, 2013).

-Iowa State increased its homecourt winning streak to 20 games, the fourth-best string in school history, with an 83-64 victory over Oklahoma on Monday. ISU has won 12-straight Big 12 games at home, tying for the second-best league homecourt string in school history.

-Iowa State leads the Big 12 and is tied for sixth nationally in 3-pointers per game (9.1), connecting on 10 or more treys 11 times this season and 38 times in the Fred Hoiberg era. ISU has made 10 or more treys in three of the last four games.

-Iowa State leads the Big 12 and is tied for eighth nationally in scoring at 78.7 ppg. ISU has scored 70 points or more 19 times this season and reached 80 points 12 times.

-Iowa State is 41-of-48 from the free-throw line (85.4 pct.) in its last two games and has connected on 48.8 percent of its field goals (81-166 FG) in its last three games.

-Will Clyburn has been on a torrid pace in his last four games, averaging 21.3 points, shooting 54.0 pct. from the field (27-50 FG) and 85.2 pct. from the free-throw line (23-27 FT).

-Tyrus McGee leads the Big 12 in both 3-pointers per game (2.6) and 3-point pct. (43.2). His 57 3-pointers on the season ties for 20th in school history.

-In Big 12 play, freshman Georges Niang leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage (56.6 pct.) and Korie Lucious is tops in the league in assists (6.0 apg).
