AMES, Iowa - The No. 25 Iowa State women's golf team kicks off its spring tournament schedule at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, Feb. 10-12. The Cyclones will face a competitive field featuring four teams ranked in the nation's top-25. Iowa State is ranked 25th nationally by both Golfstat and Golfweek after another successful fall campaign.

The Cyclones are led by Punpaka Phuntumabamrung, Sasikarn On-iam, Prima Thammaraks, Chonlada Chayanun and Cajsa Persson. All five Cyclones played in every tournament in the fall and all compiled stroke averages below 76.0.

The team's lone senior, Phuntumabamrung, is ranked 76th nationally in the Golfstat individual ratings and holds the lowest season stroke average on the team at 73.8, which is on pace to break the single-season school scoring mark.

On-iam is ranked 176th nationally by Golfstat and was second on the team in stroke average at 74.8.

The Cyclones will play in four tournaments this season before coming home to host the2013 Big 12 Championships in April at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa.
