Jobe Nabs School Record in Cyclone Victory
WATERLOO, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team defeated the Northern Iowa Panthers (1-8-0) 2-0 Friday night at the Cedar Valley Youth Sports Complex. Senior goalkeeper Maddie Jobe broke the Iowa State record in career shutouts with her 17th shutout holding the Panthers to zero shots on the game. With the win, Iowa State improved to 5-4 on the season.
Turning point of the game
Freshman Koree Willer came out firing for the Cyclones early in the first half with a goal in the 11th minute off an assist Jessica Reyes. Willer’s goal set the pace for Iowa State the rest of the game. Fellow freshman Kourtney Camy followed in her teammates steps and put the Cyclones up 2-0 for good in the 67th minute.

Cyclone game ball goes to…
Koree Willer. Not only did the young Cyclone have a solid game, she also celebrated her birthday today. Willer scored the third goal of her career early in the first half against the Panthers. With that score she now has three game-winning goals this season ranking her first in the Big 12 and tied for fourth all-time in the Cyclone record book for game-winning goals in a season.

*Iowa State did not allow UNI to take a shot during the contest tying the previous school record of no shots allowed. The Cyclones have accomplished the feat five times in school history.
