Cyclone Headlines
- Thursday’s game against the Cincinnati Bearcats marked the 800th-career game in Bill Fenelly’s 26-year head coaching career. Fennelly boasts a 399-182 (.685) record at Iowa State and a 565-235 overall as a head coach. A win against the Drake Bulldogs would also mark Fennelly’s 400th win as the head coach of the Cyclones.
- Iowa State remained No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches poll after an 88-72 win at home against South Dakota. This is the 12th-straight time Iowa State has been ranked in the AP or USA Today polls.
- Iowa State is 3-0 on the season after home wins against North Dakota and South Dakota and a road win at Cincinnati. Iowa State is one of just four Big 12 teams who are still undefeated. The Big 12 boasts the best nonconference winning percentage in the country (.810) and fewest losses (30-7).
- Senior forward Hallie Christofferson is averaging a double-double after her first three games this season. Christofferson has racked up an average of 27.3 points and 10.0 boards, ranking first in the Big 12 in both categories. She is also shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from the three-point arc.
- The Iowa State starting lineup consists of a senior, two juniors and two freshmen, with Jadda Buckley and Seanna Johnson joining last year’s returners in Nikki Moody, Christofferson and Williamson. Iowa State is one of just four Big 12 schools this season that have started at least one freshman and one of three schools to have multiple freshman in the starting lineup. Only three teams in the AP Top 25 have started two freshmen in every game this season.
- This is the 53rd meeting between Iowa State and Drake, with the all-time series tied at 26-26. Though the series is tied, the Cyclones have won eight of the last nine outings against the Bulldogs, and Iowa State is10-14 all-time at the Knapp Center.
- Drake is fresh off an 89-81 overtime victory over South Dakota in Sioux Falls, S.C., and sits at 2-2 on the season with losses at Wisconsin (66-41) and at Colorado State (92-77).
The Cyclones are averaging 83.3 points per game and holding opponents to just 56.3 points. Iowa State is shooting 46.8 percent from the field and also holding opponents to 35.9 percent. The Cyclones defense is forcing an average of 16.0 turnovers per game.
- Iowa State picked up its first road win of the season on Thursay fter a 78-42 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats. Iowa State shot 52 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the three-point arc on the night.
- Hallie Christofferson led Iowa State with game-highs in points (25) and rebounds (7). Christofferson went 7-of-9 from the field and 5-of-7 from long, matching a career-high with five three-pointers made.
- Freshmen Jadda Buckley and Seanna Johnson came up big for the Cyclones as both recorded double-digit scoring efforts. Buckley went 4-of-9 on the evening for 12 points and Johnson went 5-of-7 for 13 points.

Drake Series
- This is the 53rd meeting between Iowa State and Drake, with the all-time series tied at 26-26. Though the series is tied, the Cyclones have won eight of the last nine outings against the Bulldogs, and Iowa State is10-14 all-time at the Knapp Center.
- Last year Iowa State routed the Bulldogs 87-45 in Hilton Coliseum.
- Hallie Christofferson led Iowa State with 20 points and 10 rebounds in 24 minutes of play. Anna Prins and Kidd Blaskowsky each had 17 (career high for Blaskowsky) for the Cyclones. Point guard Nikki Moody had 15 points and 10 assists in 24 minutes of action. Cara Lutes led Drake with 19 points.

Scouting the Bulldogs
- The Drake Bulldogs sit at 2-2 on the season after wins over Creighton and South Dakota and losses at Wisconsin and Colorado State. The Bulldogs are fresh off an 89-81 overtime win at South Dakota.
- Kyndal Clark is leading the way for the Bulldogs with 16.5 points per game. Morgan Reid leads Drake off the glass with 7.3 boards per game.
- Drake is shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from the three-point line.
The Bulldogs also are averaging 16.0 turnovers per game and registering 9.0 takeaways per contest.

Iowa State from Beyond the Arc
- The Cyclones knocked down 29 three-pointers so far this season for a league-leading average of 9.7 trey’s per game. Iowa State also leads the Big 12 in three-point field goal percentage shooting 37.7 from long.
- Hallie Christofferson and Kidd Blaskowsky lead Iowa State with 16 three-pointers between the two.
