“We could not be more pleased with the participation we have received for this event,” said director of special events Ryan McGuire. “The impressive turnout speaks volumes how much fun this night is for Cyclone fans. It’s a great chance to hang out with your friends while having the opportunity to interact with members of the Iowa State athletics department in a fun, informal environment.”

The format of the event was still the same. Tables of eight players answered eight rounds of questions 10 questions in each round- to see who has the best trivial mind. Categories in this year’s contest ranged from "We Are Family," "Don't Forget the Lyrics," "Today in History," "Cyclone Trivia," "Pieces of the President," Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader," "Who's the Boss" and "Murder By Numbers." Cyclone celebrities rotated to each table to give their advice. This year’s celebrities included ISU athletics director Jamie Pollard, former letterwinners Bret Meyer and Megan Taylor, as well as head football coach Paul Rhoads and his staff.

“I think the celebrities and coaches had just as much fun as the participants did,” McGuire added.
WHO-TV personalities Keith Murphy and Andy Fales were the emcees of the event. The co-hosts of the award-winning Sports SoundOFF show perked the crowd with their humorous antics. The top-three finishers were awarded prizes which included a 2009 football tailgate tent and men’s and women’s basketball tickets and pre-game parties. All proceeds of the event went to the Cyclone Club.
