One of the greatest players in Big Six Conference history, Ed Bock is the only IowaState player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and was the Cyclones’ first consensus All-American. Bock was selected to the first team of The Associated Press All-America squad as a senior. He was invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game, the ChicagoTribuneCollege All-Star Game and the Dallas Dream Game in the Cotton Bowl against the Green Bay Packers in 1938.
