Cyclones Fall To No. 22 Oklahoma State, 6-1

STILLWATER, Okla.- The Iowa State tennis team (8-12, 0-7 Big 12) fell to No. 22 Oklahoma State (11-5, 6-0 Big 12) Friday in Stillwater, 6-1, as the Cowgirls maintained their spot atop the Big 12 standings.

Sophomore Ana Gasparovic earned the Cyclones’ only win for the day. The Zagreb, Croatia, native defeated Carla Tur Mari at the No. 4 singles position in a third-set tiebreak, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0(8).

The Cowgirls grabbed the early doubles point, taking down Cyclone pairs at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic defeated freshman Samantha Budai and junior Ksenia Pronina at No. 1 doubles, 8-3.

The Cyclones will take on No. 18 Oklahoma on Sunday in Norman at Noon.
