Earned All-America honors in first collegiate season, finishing eighth at 125 pounds… went 3-3 at the NCAA Championships… just the second Cyclone All-American at 125 pounds since the weight-class change in 1999… upset No. 4 seed Josh Martinez 8-1 in the second round to punch his ticket to the NCAA quarterfinals, where he fell in overtime to No. 5 seed Dylan Peters of UNI… beat No. 15 seed Anthony Zanetta of Pitt 8-5 in the round of 12 to clinch a spot on the podium… went 0-2 at first Big 12 Championship… finished the year 22-15 with six wins over ranked foes… went 3-0 with two wins over ranked opponents at the NWCA National Duals… finished tied for second on the team in pins with six… took third-place at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open… took eighth-place at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational… tallied a pin with 20 seconds left to spare by way of cement mixer after trailing 9-4 to Minnesota’s Sam Brancale in the dual with the top-ranked Gophers… finished in third-place at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open after going 5-1 with two pins.

2012 FILA Junior World Team Trials champion, wrestling at 60 KG (132 pounds)… 2012 Junior World Team member... qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Iowa City, Iowa where he wrestled at 55 KG (121 pounds)… went 2-2 at the trials with a win over former Minnesota Gopher Zach Sanders, who was a four-time All-American in college… bronze medalist at Ivan Illeav International… also took fourth-place at the coveted Dave Schultz Memorial International in 2012.
