Casey, Stack, Nelson Earn All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS - Iowa State distance runners Morgan Casey, Dani Stack and Meaghan Nelson were three of the 104 NCAA Division I student-athletes to earn All-Academic honors, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced this morning.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Acadmic Cross Country Team, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top-15 in 2011.
Both Stack and Nelson earned All-American honors at the 2011 NCAA Cross Country Championshps. Casey finished 10th at the 2011 Midwest Regional Championships where the Cyclone women won their second-straight regional title.
