Iowa State Cross Country Schedule Released
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State cross country program released its 2013 season schedule today. The Cyclones will open the year on Aug. 30 in Des Moines at the Drake Fall Classic.
Iowa State is set to compete twice in September. Both the men and women will travel to Iowa City for the Iowa Black and Gold Invitational on Sept. 13. On Sept. 28, the Cyclone women return to the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn, where they are the two-time defending champs.
The following week, the men will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Lehigh Paul Short Run on Oct. 5. The Cyclones currently have two meets slated for Oct. 19, the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis. and the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
Iowa State will kick off the postseason on Nov. 2 in Waco, Texas at the Big 12 Championships. On Nov. 15, the Cyclones host the NCAA Midwest Regionals at the Iowa State cross country course. It will be the first time since 1997 that Iowa State has hosted a regional meet. The Cyclone women captured the Big 12 and Midwest Regional titles in both 2011 and 2012.

The season will wrap up on Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind. at the NCAA Championships.
