AMES, Iowa – Challenge accepted. Those were the words of head coach Bill Fennelly when he was recently challenged by the head women’s basketball coach at McNeese State, Brooks Donald-Williams to participate in #Chillin4Charity, an initiative to raise awareness and donations for the Kay Yow Cancer fund.

The initiative was started by the women’s basketball team at the University of Arizona on June 16 and has spread like wildfire ever since. (See their initial call to action here)

The challenge will take place at 1 p.m. at the Sukup Basketball Complex and coach Fennelly will be assisted by the women’s basketball staff, players along with the 2014 summer campers in attendance.

Challenge Rules:
1.    Coach is nominated.
2.    Coach accepts and completes the challenge by getting doused with cold water.
3.    Coach nominates others to participate.
4.    For each coach/player nominated who completes the challenge they will donate $50 to the Kay Yow fund.
5.    If they do not accept they must donate $250.

Feel free to check back tomorrow for a video of the #Chillin4Charity challenge and to see who coach Fennelly nominates.
