VIDEO: Cyclones in the Olympics: Guor Marial

AMES, Iowa - The opening ceremonies for the 2012 Olympics in London take place tonight.

This week, Cyclones.tv reporter John Walters visits with Iowa State coaches to talk about four recent or current Cyclones competing in London.

Guor Marial was a Cross Country All-American at Iowa State. Marial will take part in the Olympic Marathon in London. Marial’s road to the Olympics is unique. He will run independently, under the Olympic flag because his native South Sudan does not yet have an Olympic committee.  Marial also cannot represent the United States as he is not yet a U.S. citizen.
