Iowa State Women's Relay Team Breaks School Record
WALNUT, Calif. – The Iowa State track and field women’s 4x400-meter relay team broke the school record with a second place finish with a 3:36.22 effort at the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday.
Members of the Cyclone relay team included Kendra White, Dana Christensen, Ese Okoro and Ejiro Okoro. Previously the record was 3:38.22 set back in 1989.
Senior Ese Okoro earned second in the Olympic development heat of the 400-meter hurdles with 58.40.
Teammate Christina Hillman threw a personal best toss of 57-01 in the shot put for second place. Danielle Frere placed sixth with 54-00.
Cyclone Nick Efkamp placed sixth in the 400meter dash with 47.28.
Ian Warner clocked a time of 10.60 in the 100-meter dash.
The Cyclones travel to the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa next weekend. Results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of the day’s events.

4x400-meter relay: 1) Texas Tech, 3:33.25; 4) IOWA STATE, 3:36.22.
Shot put: 2) Christina Hillman, IOWA STATE, 57-01; 6) Danielle Frere, IOWA STATE, 54-00.
100-meter dash: 1) Mike Rodgers, Nike, 10.04; 8) Ian Warner, IOWA STATE, 10.60.
400-meter dash: 1) Yousef Masrahi, HIS International, 45.18; 6) Nick Efkamp, IOWA STATE, 47.28.
