AMES, Iowa – Texas used a late drive and a Case McCoy sneak with 51 seconds remaining to defeat Iowa State, 31-30, Thursday night at Jack Trice Stadium. The Cyclones fall to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in Big 12 play this season, while Texas improves to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Turning Point of the Game
In a game that featured many big plays by both teams, Texas’ goal-line stand that forced the Cyclones to kick a field goal with 3:40 left proved to be the difference. The stop kept it a one-possession game with ISU leading 30-24 and the Longhorns were able to march down the field for the game-winning score on third down.

Offensive Game Ball Goes To...
Aaron Wimberly followed up last week’s breakout performance with another solid performance, racking up 117 yards on 29 carries and his first career rushing touchdown. The junior also had two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. He is the first Cyclone to rush for 100 yards in back-to-back games since Alexander Robinson did it in 2010.

Defensive Game Ball Goes To...
Senior Jeremiah George tied a season-high with 13 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss. He also had 1.5 sacks, the first of his career, to go along with a pass breakup. George is averaging 10 tackles per contest.
