ISU Tied For Sixth at David Toms Intercollegiate

BATON ROUGE, La.—After two rounds of play at the David Toms Intercollegiate, the No. 25 Iowa State men’s golf team sits in a tie for 6th place with a two-round 592 total (300-292). Southeastern Louisiana leads the tournament at 570.

The Cyclones were led by junior All-American Scott Fernandez, who fired rounds of 74 and 71 for a 36-hole 145 tally. His scores earned him a tie for eighth in the medalist race, which is led by Southeastern Louisiana’s Eamon Bradley at 140.

Cyclone true freshman Nick Voke carded rounds of 73 and 75 to put him in a tie for 23rd individually at 148. Sam Daley shot a 78 in the morning round but bounced back in the afternoon with a 1-under 71 to close out the day in a tie for 27th at 149.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow morning with a final round of 18-holes.
