Beyond upgrading the production quality of live events, Cyclones.tv will also create and distribute exclusive feature content on its platforms. A full price subscription to Cyclones.tv will cost $9.95 per month or $79.95 yearly.
How many live football and basketball games will I see?
The new television contracts for the Big 12 allows for each school's third-tier rights to be distributed by the institution. As such, Iowa State will be guaranteed one football game and several third-tier men's and women's basketball games for distribution on Cyclones.tv. Keep in mind, any Iowa State sporting event that appears live on network television for one of the Big 12's broadcast partners (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FOX family of networks) we are NOT allowed to show live on Cyclones.tv. Those television partners have paid for the rights to broadcast those games. Cyclones.tv is allowed to show a replay of football games 72 hours after its completion and 48 hours for men's and women's basketball.
Nearly all home events in women's basketball, wrestling, volleyball and gymnastics will be shown on Cyclones.tv. In the near future, we hope to add Big 12 Conference road contests that fall to third tier that we can share from other conference members digital networks.
