Cyclone Golfers Finish Fourth At LSU Invite

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Iowa State men's golf team placed fourth in the 12-team LSU Invitational field Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones carded rounds of 298-293-291 for a three-round 882 total. LSU won the team title at 853.

Freshman Scott Fernandez led the Cyclones with his second-straight top-10 performance, placing sixth at 214 (74-70-70). It's Fernandez' fourth top-10 effort of the season. Senior Nate McCoy tied for 14th, shooting rounds of 75-71-74 for a 220 total. Borja Virto tied for 29th at 225.

Next up for the Cyclones is the Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate, April 9-10.
