Cyclones Defeat St. Louis 2-0
St. Louis, MO- The Iowa State soccer team defeated the St. Louis Billikens (1-8-1) 2-0 Sunday to advance to 6-4 on the season. The Cyclones recorded their second shutout of the weekend outscoring their two opponents by a total score of 4-0.
Turning point of the game
The Cyclones came out firing, scoring the first goal in the game in just the third minute off a header from senior Jennifer Dominguez. From there on the Cyclones would allow the Billikens few looks, earning a shutout for the game. Emily Goldstein kept the ball rolling scoring a goal in the 62nd minute to put the Cyclones up 2-0.

Cyclone game ball goes to...
Jennifer Dominguez. Not only did the Cyclone senior score the opening goal for Iowa State, she assisted teammate Emily Goldstein in the 62nd minute to put the Cyclones up 2-0. Dominguez now has scored five goals on the season.

*Senior goalkeeper Maddie Jobe brought her career save total up to 270. That mark puts her in second place all-time in the Cyclone record book. She also set the bar higher recording her 18th career save, which is an Iowa State record.
*Iowa State has yet to be defeated this season when they have scored two or more goals in the game.
