Swimming and Diving Earns Academic Honor

AMES, Iowa- Iowa State was named an Scholar All-America team when the College Swimming Coaches Association of America announced its Scholar All-America teams Friday.

For the 22nd consecutive season, the team has earned the honor after obtaining a 3.13 GPA for the Fall 2010 semester.

“We are very proud of what our women accomplished during the fall semester,” Iowa State head coach Duane Sorenson said. “It was one of their team goals to become a Scholar All-American team and they achieved it.”

To be eligible, a team must compile a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
