HOUSTON, Texas- Elyse Brouillette finished 30th with a score of 256.40 on the 3-meter board during day one of the NCAA Zone ‘D’ Diving Championships.

“I thought she did really well in her first event at a NCAA Zone meet,” diving coach Jeff Warrick said. “It’s a different kind of beast to really describe it. Having 46 women in the contest and the prelims, it’s a very long contest.”

With the top 18 divers advancing to the six-dive final, Brouillette looks to Tuesday on the 1-meter board to reach finals.

“She started off a little shakey on her first two dives, then picked up steam and finished strong which I think will set her up well for tomorrow,” Warrick said.

The meet will continue Tuesday with 1-meter prelim action beginning at 11 a.m. and finals following immediately afterwards.
