Iowa State To Play Drake

AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team travels to Des Moines, Iowa Sunday at 1 p.m. to take on the Drake Bulldogs at the Cownie Soccer Complex.

Last time out

The Cyclones ended in a 0-0 draw with the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday at the Cyclone Sports Complex. Iowa State goalkeeper Maddie Jobe made several last- second saves during the contest to keep the Cyclones alive. The Cyclones were able to move the ball on the Jayhawks, but were unable to capitalize.

Scouting the Bulldogs

Drake (2-7-2) is led by senior forward Paige Dusek, who has scored five goals this season. The senior leads an offensive attack that has scored 14 goals this year. Drake’s goalkeeper Andrea Swanson has recorded 46 saves this season and has given up 21 goals.

Key matchup

The key matchup in this game will be to see if the Iowa State offense can return to their scoring ways after ending last game in a draw with Kansas.  Iowa State will look towards senior Jennifer Dominguez and freshman Koree Willer who have scored eight combined goals this season to lead their offensive attack.
