Cyclones In Eighth Place At Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz - The Iowa State women's golf team is currently in eighth place after the first round of the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz. The Cyclones fired a 295 this afternoon. Colorado leads the tournament at 277.

Nine of the 12 teams competing in the tournament are ranked in the top-100 nationally according to Golfweek. Iowa State is ranked No. 33 in the latest Golfweek rankings.  

Sophomore Prima Thammaraks is currently in a tie for sixth place after carding a 2-under 70 to lead the Cyclones. Senior Kristin Paulson posted a 74 to sit in a tie for 23rd.

The Cyclones will play another 18 holes tomorrow and the tournament will conclude on Sunday.
