No. 25 ISU in Fifth Place at Lady Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The No. 25 Iowa State women's golf team remains in fifth place Monday after the second of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The Cyclones fired another 299 in the second round for a two-day 598 total. Iowa State is one stroke behind third-place TCU and Texas Tech at 597.

The tournament features 11 teams ranked in the nation's top-40 according to Golfstat.

Junior Prima Thammaraks and sophomore Beth Wagner are currently in a tie for sixth place at 146. The duo has each carded 73s in their first two rounds. Wagner is competing as an individual for the Cyclones this week. Punpaka Phuntumabamrung is tied for 14th place at 148. Phuntumabamrung shot a 75 this afternoon.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes tomorrow.
