IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced its postseason awards in women’s golf this afternoon. Iowa State’s Sasikarn On-iam and Chonlada Chayanun were both named to the coaches All-Big 12 First-Team.

The All-Big 12 honors come in addition to Chayanun and On-iam’s All-Tournament performances at the Big 12 Championship last weekend, where Chayanun tied for fourth and On-iam tied for ninth.

On-iam, a native of Bangkok, Thailand, is a two-time All-Big 12 selection, picking up the honor in 2011 as a freshman. The senior leads the team in scoring at 73.28 and is on track to shatter the school record for lowest stroke average in a season. On-iam was named Big 12 Golfer of the Month in March after tying for medalist honors at the Hurricane Invitational.

Chayanun, a junior from Nakhonratchaslma, Thailand, recorded the lowest score ever by an ISU golfer at the Big 12 Championship last weekend, firing a 216 (73-72-71). Chayanun has three top-10 finishes and ranks second on the team in stroke average at 73.52

The Cyclones will compete in the NCAA West Regional, May 8-10 in Elum, Wash.
