Rhoads Remembers: 2011 vs. Iowa
Iowa State came from behind on three different occasions in the fourth quarter and overtime periods, as the crowd of 56,085, the second-largest contingent in Jack Trice Stadium history, rejoiced at mid-field while regaining the Cy-Hawk Trophy.
Both teams traded touchdowns in the first two overtimes. Iowa State tallied a TD on a Darius Reynolds four-yard touchdown catch on 4th-and-goal in the first extra period. White scored on a touchdown run in the second overtime session.
The Cyclone defense broke the touchdown string in the third overtime, forcing Iowa to kick a 34-yarder from Mike Meyer. The White touchdown run on third down was the decisive score.
