Played in 31 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds...shot 49.2 percent (60-122 FG) from the field...led the team in blocks with 20...recorded career highs in points (17), rebounds (10) and blocks (3) vs. Southern...tallied 14 points (5-7 FG) and seven rebounds at Iowa...posted 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) and six boards vs. Omaha.

Considered the top post player in Michigan in the Class of 2011, Gibson was named to the Detroit Free Press’ Six-Player Dream Team as a senior...named first-team Class A (big schools) all-state and was a Detroit News All-Area selection...averaged 21.2 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in his senior campaign...led his team to the Class A Michigan state final in 2011, finishing the season with a 23-4 record...tallied 22 points (10-for-11 FG) and 11 rebounds in the state semifinal win over Bay City Western...paced his high school team to its first state championship game appearance since 1926 and first Detroit Public School League title since 1956...had 35 points in a regional semifinal win over Detroit Cass Tech...invited to play in the 2011 Under Armour All-Michigan All-Star game...averaged 17.2 points and 11.0 rebounds as a junior in 2010...orginially signed with Dayton, but was released from his letter of intent after a coaching change...also considered Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
