AUSTIN, Texas – Iowa State's Okoro sisters are heading to the NCAA Championships.  Ejiro qualified for the national meet in the 800 meters Friday in the quarterfinals at the NCAA West Regional in Myers Stadium. Ese secured a spot at the national meet in the 400-meter hurdles semifinals. Iowa State freshman Jens Jeuschede also earned an NCAA Championships berth in the shot put.

"We added three more Cyclones to our national roster," Iowa State head coach Corey Ihmels said. "You can't score points in Eugene if you don't get through qualifying. There were some very highly touted competitors that didn't make it through. It doesn't matter whether you were first or 12th, if you got through it's a clean slate for the national meet."

Eji Okoro finished fifth in her 800-meter quarterfinal but was the final national meet qualifier (12th) at 2:06.57. Ese Okoro clocked a 57.54 400-meter hurdle effort to earn a spot in Eugene, Ore. with the seventh-fastest time overall. Jeuschede’s best throw of 59-11 ¼ ranked him 11th overall.
