Greetings From Lake Como - Part 3
Each day a member of the Iowa State women's basketball team will write a blog detailing our adventures in Italy. In our final blog, freshman Nakiah Bell details our final day in Lake Como, Italy. To follow along on our journey even more closely, please follow @CycloneWBB.
LAST DAY IN ITALY!! This morning was an early sunny day for some of us. We all took a boat tour to Bellagio! The boat ride was interesting as our tour guide talked about the different buildings surrounding the lake and the history they have.
During this time we passed by George Clooney's house, unfortunately we didn't see him. The scenery was something you had to be in the midst of to enjoy, the mountains were filled with countless beautiful mansions of many celebrities where they come to vacation. When we arrived to Bellagio, some of us got the chance to jump in the lake and have a little swim time! Me, Blaire, and Bry decided to just sit down and enjoy some pizza. We were there for a short time before departing back on the boat to head back to Lake Como. When we came back everyone had their own free time! Blaire, Bry, and I decided to go shopping for our last few hours in Italy.
After shopping, we came back to nap before dinner. Tonight's dinner was something special because we had the chance to eat with everyone one last time before we depart for America. We took a lot of pictures as a group and as a team. During dinner we were giving the chance to thank Jason and Sara for everything that they have done for us on this trip. Also, our seniors presented Coach Carper with wine to show our appreciation for everything that he has done for this trip. Everyone in charge had been so wonderful and we all appreciate the time and effort put into this to make this an amazing experience.
Now that our last dinner here in Italy is over the night is young and ours for the taking! We have an early morning start tomorrow back to the good ol' Ames, Iowa. Whoop whoop! We all had an amazing trip, but we sure do miss home and our other fellow Cyclones. Well thanks for tuning in to our last day here. Thanks from yours truly, Nakiah Bell. Ciao!!!
