Miller Named All-Big 12
AMES, Iowa - Iowa State infielder Erica Miller has been named to the Second Team All-Big 12, the league office announced Tuesday. It is Miller's first all-conference honor.
"It's great for Erica to be selected to the all-conference team," head Cyclones coach Stacy Gemeinhardt-Cesler said. "She's been steady in our lineup all year and is very deserving of this honor."
The Pomona, Calif. native had a break-out season in 2011, tying the Iowa State record for both home runs and RBIs in a season with 11 and 40, respectively. After only two seasons with the Cyclones, Miller has already risen to fifth all-time at Iowa State with 18 career home runs.
Miller led the Cyclones with both a .333 batting average and a .630 slugging percentage in conference competition where she recorded six extra base hits and 12 RBIs.
