Cyclones At The Top With Five All-Big 12 Academics

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State leads the Big 12 Conference with five student-athletes named to the 2012 Academic All-Big 12 Tennis Team this year.
The Big 12 league office announced today that three Cyclone seniors were honored with first-team accolades. Marie-Christine Chartier, Tessa Lang and Maria Macedo have been named to the first team three times each.
The trio qualified based on maintaining at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA along with at least 60 percent participation in the team’s scheduled contests.
Chelsea Loprinzi and Jenna Langhorst were honored as well with second-team accolades based on a 3.00 GPA standard. This is the first time both Langhorst and Loprinzi have been honored.
