Iowa State Falls To No. 20 Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Iowa State women's tennis team (6-10, 0-4 Big 12) fell to No. 20 Texas Tech Red Raiders (13-4, 3-0 Big 12), 7-0, Sunday afternoon.

The Red Raiders swept the singles portion to begin the match. Emma Waites competed against Sandra Dynka at No. 6 singles. Waites eventually lost to Dynka, 6-3, 6-4, in the Cyclones closest match of the day.

The Cyclones decided to default the doubles matches due to a tight travel schedule.

Iowa State will be back in action Friday against instate opponent Northern Iowa. Doubles matches will begin at 4 p.m. at Ames Racquet and Fitness.
