AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior Melvin Ejim and his Canadian teammates improved to 4-0 with an 87-56 win over the Czech Republic Thursday at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

Ejim is averaging 7.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while playing an average of 18 minutes for his home country.

Canada will face the United States Friday at 4 a.m. (CT). The game will be televised live on ESPNU. Replays of the game will be shown at 6 p.m. and then again on Saturday at 2:30 a.m.

Vs. Sweden – 20 minutes- 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals
Vs. United Arab Emirates – 15 minutes – 8 points, 2 rebounds
Vs. Australia – 19 minutes – 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists
