Posted one of the best seasons in Iowa State history, leading the team in scoring (13.4), rebounding (9.3), assists (5.0), steals (1.1) and blocks (0.9), the only player in the country to achieve the feat...earned Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America honors and Basketball Times' National Newcomer of the Year...was an unanimous All-Big 12 First-Team selection, USBWA/NABC All-District pick and Naismith Award Top-30 Watch list member...named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year...was the only player from a power-six conference to rank in the top-100 nationally in rebounding (34th- 9.3), field goal percentage (36th- 53.4) and assists (57th- 5.0)...also ranked in the Big 12's top-five in all three categories: 2nd in rebounding, 2nd in FG pct., and 5th in assists...just the second player in ISU history to lead his team in scoring, rebounding and assists (Fred Hoiberg did it in 1994)...his season rebounding (316) and assist (170) totals rank seventh and 10th, respectively, on Iowa State's single-season charts...his 316 rebounds is the most by a Cyclone since Dean Uthoff grabbed 378 in 1978...in Big 12 play, was second in the league in rebounding (9.3) and fourth in assists (6.1)...ranked second in the Big 12 in double-doubles with 11, the 20th-best single-season total in school history...handed out five or more assists 17 times, including a career-high 10 dimes vs. Texas A&M...recorded double digits in rebounding 15 times, including a career-high 18 vs. Texas A&M...averaged 11.5 rebounds in 16 road/neutral games...recorded just the fourth triple-double in Iowa State history with 10 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists at Texas A&M...it was the first Cyclone triple-double on the road and just the sixth triple-double in Big 12 history vs. a league opponent...in his Cyclone debut, scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 11 boards vs. Lehigh...tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds at Michigan...posted 18 points and 17 rebounds at No. 10 Kansas...scored 22 points, including the game-winner on a baseline jumper with 0:01.8 seconds left to defeat Kansas State...was two assists shy of a triple-double vs. Texas Tech (13 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists)...was outstanding in the NCAA Championship, averaging 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds...posted a double-double (15 points, 13 rebounds) to help ISU defeat Connecticut in the second round of the NCAA Tournament...had 23 points and nine rebounds vs. No. 1 seed and eventual national champion Kentucky in the third round...a three-time recipient of the Big 12 Rookie of the Week award (Dec. 14, Jan. 9, Feb. 27).

Enrolled at Minnesota, but left the team in December before competing in any contests.

One of the top players in the Class of 2009...ranked No. 19 and No. 2 small forward in the final Rivals.com ratings of 2009...Scout.com ranked him as the 10th-best power forward...was one of 20 preps invited to play in the prestigious Jordan Brand All-Star game in 2009, scoring 10 points...named Mr. Basketball in the state of Minnesota in 2009...led his Hopkins squad to an undefeated 31-0 mark and Class 4A State Championship in 2009, earning First-Team All-State honors.
