Volleyball Finishes Spring Season In Minneapolis
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team will complete its spring season this weekend, taking on UNI, North Dakota and Concordia at the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion on April 20.
Eight teams will be in action at the Minnesota tournament, split into two pools of four and, like Iowa State’s home tournament on April 13, two matches will be played simultaneously.
The first matches of the day will begin at 9 a.m. CDT with the Cyclones taking the court for the first time at 10:10 a.m. against North Dakota. Matches with UNI, whom the Cyclones defeated in three sets last weekend, and Concordia will follow.
The teams will play two-set matches to 25 points, a two-point advantage is required to win, as in regular season play. There will be a break in the action at 12:30 p.m. for teams and fans to eat lunch. Lunch for spectators will not be provided at the Sports Pavilion.
Iowa State’s matches with North Dakota and UNI will take place during the morning session, and the team will return to the court against Concordia at 3:50 p.m., the final match time of the day.
Admission to the tournament is free and fans can enter through the main entrance on the West side of the Sports Pavilion beginning at 8 a.m. CDT on Saturday.
