PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Iowa State senior Will Clyburn is one of 64 players invited to the 61st annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, April 10-13 in Portsmouth, Va.

The top 64 seniors in college basketball are invited to the four-day, 12-game tournament where scouts from every NBA team monitor the competition for the upcoming 2013 NBA Draft.

Clyburn, a native of Detroit, Mich., is coming off an outstanding season for the Cyclones, averaging 14.9 points and 6.8 rebounds to help ISU earn its second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Clyburn was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and was an All-Big 12 Second-Team selection. He recently picked up MVP honors for the West team at the 2013 Reese’s College All-Star game at the Final Four.

Clyburn joins a strong group of former Cyclones to compete in the tournament. Martin Rancik, Paul Shirley, Jackson Vroman, Jared Homan, Jiri Hubalek, Marquis Gilstrap and Diante Garrett all played in the postseason classic since 2001.
