Men's Basketball Senior Feature: Jake Anderson
AMES, Iowa - Wednesday night marks the last home game for four Iowa State seniors, as Diante Garrett, Jamie Vanderbeken, Darion “Jake” Anderson and Drew Mitchell hit the court at Hilton Coliseum for the final time against Colorado. The staff at cyclones.com recently sat down with all four seniors to talk about their memories at Iowa State.

Darion “Jake” Anderson, 6-2, 205, Chicago, Ill.
Although Anderson spent just one season as a Cyclone, his impact on the team has been immeasurable. Anderson’s toughness and leadership has provided energy to the Cyclones all season. Anderson has started 28 games, averaging 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds. Despite his small stature (6-2), Anderson has shocked many by grabbing a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game, an average which ranks eighth in the Big 12 Conference.
Anderson grabbed a career-high 15 boards in the win over Creighton and his four double-doubles on the year ties for the team lead. He has led the Cyclones on the glass in 12 games and tallied a team-high seven double-digit rebounding efforts.
The Chicago, Ill., native, who played three seasons at Northern Illinois prior to his final year with the Cyclones, has started 103 games and totaled 1,505 points in his four-year career.
