Iowa State Ticket Information for "Big Four Classic"
AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State men's basketball team will compete in the inaugural "Big Four Classic" in Des Moines on Dec. 15, 2012 and Cyclone fans won't want to miss out on this exciting event at the Wells Fargo Arena. Iowa State will face Drake and Iowa will battle UNI in a doubleheader featuring the state's four Division I institutions.
"Iowa State looks forward to its participation in the inaugural 'Big Four Classic' in Des Moines," Iowa State Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. "Our state has a rich basketball history. The opportunity to create a single showcase event in our state's capital city has been discussed for years and we are very excited to finally see this happen. We have participated in a number of events with the Des Moines Convention & Visitors' Bureau and Wells Fargo Arena in the past and they have been very popular with Cyclone fans."
The four schools will receive approximately 3,500 tickets each for the "Big Four Classic" and 150 tickets in each school's respective allotment will be made available to students free of charge. The procedure for selecting which Iowa State students will receive the complimentary tickets will be announced this fall.
Cyclone Club members and men's basketball season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the doubleheader. Detailed information on how to qualify for and obtain tickets will be sent to all men's basketball season ticketholders this summer.
Tickets to the event, which will be priced from $25 to $70, are good for admission to both games of the doubleheader. Tickets not sold by Iowa State to its donors or season ticketholders will be placed on sale for the general public through the Wells Fargo Arena box office in October.
