One of the nation’s best point guards, Morris won Michigan’s Mr. Basketball Award in 2013...a top-100 national recruit...ranked No. 96 in the final Rivals.com national rankings and No. 89 in the Scout.com ratings...2013 Parade All-American...a three-time winner of Michigan’s Associated Press’ Class C Player of the Year Award and a three-time first-team all-state selection...named to the Detroit Free Press’ Dream Team in 2012 and 2013...a four-year starter, Morris led Beecher in scoring, assists and steals in each of the his four seasons...as a senior in 2013, Morris averaged 23.8 points, 8.8 assists, 5.1 steals and 6.8 rebounds...led his team to back-to-back Class C Michigan state titles in 2012 and 2013...scored 29 points in the state semifinal game and poured in 16 points in Beecher’s 40-39 win over Laingsburg in the 2013 Michigan state championship game...team went 27-1 in 2013...averaged 19.5 points, 4.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds as a junior in 2012, leading his team to an undefeated (28-0) state championship season...it was Beecher’s first state title in 25 years...Beecher made the Class C state semifinals all four seasons Morris started...averaged 18.1 points, 6.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds as a sophomore in 2011 to earn his first Class C state player of the year award...ended his career with 2,006 points...narrowed his choices to Iowa State, Butler and Illinois...also considered Indiana, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech and USC...nickname is “Man-Man.”
