AMES, Iowa – The No. 25 Iowa State volleyball team put up one of its strongest performances of the season to sweep Oklahoma 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 26-24) Saturday evening in front of a season-best 3,707 fans at Hilton Coliseum. The win, ISU’s sixth in a row, improves the Cyclones to 16-6 overall and 9-2 in Big 12 play. The loss drops the Sooners to 18-7 overall and 6-5 in the Big 12.

Turning Point of the Match
There is no better way to establish authority in a match than a big run in the first set and Iowa State did that to dominate the first frame. After a Tory Knuth service error reduced Iowa State’s lead to 12-10, the Cyclones fired off an 8-0 run on the back of the Mackenzie Bigbee serve. It was the beginning of the dominant evening for Ciara Capezio, who had two kills in the run. Iowa State was ahead 20-10 after the run.

Cyclone Match Ball Goes to…
Kristen Hahn. The Iowa State libero keeps finding records to break and another Cyclone record belongs soely to Hahn. She finished the match with 21 digs, her 45th match with at least 20 digs in her career. The previous school record was 44 by Ashley Mass (2007-10). Facing one of the top hitting teams in the Big 12, Hahn was kept on her toes as she looked to insert herself into a match that Oklahoma wanted her to not be involved in. She got better as the match progressed, having five digs in the first set, seven in the second and nine in the third frame.

Honorable mentions to Mackenzie Bigbee, who posted 13 kills at a .370 hitting percentage and Tory Knuth who had eight kills at a .429 hitting clip and a career-high nine digs, shattering her previous career-best of five digs before the half-way mark of the first set.
